A TMN anunciou o lançamento de um novo serviço que permite aos clientes particulares usarem o seu telemóvel para fazer chamadas gratuitas a partir de casa. O Casa T é activado através de uma chamada a partir da qual a operadora identifica determinada localização como residência do cliente e aplica a todas as chamadas efectuadas para a rede móvel TMN ou qualquer uma das redes fixas tarifa zero a partir do primeiro minuto.

Até meados de Janeiro o novo serviço é comercializado em fase promocional pelo que é válido 24 horas por dia com um custo mensal de subscrição de 5,9 euros. Após este período o Casa T vai estar disponível em duas modalidades que permitirão ter acesso a chamadas gratuitas durante todo o dia ou apenas entre as 21 horas e as 9 horas da manhã.

A oferta limitada no tempo provavelmente manterá o preço de subscrição de 5,9 euros, enquanto a oferta ilimitada terá novo preço ainda não definido, explicou ao TeK fonte oficial da operadora.

Para subscrever o Casa T, que está disponível a partir de amanhã, o cliente deve marcar no seu telemóvel *#125*0# e carregar na tecla de chamada. A operação deve ser feita a partir do local que se pretende definir como residência, que pode ser alterado uma vez por mês. A confirmação da adesão ao serviço é recebida através de um SMS.

As chamadas realizadas pelos subscritores do Casa T para TMN e redes fixas têm apenas custos no primeiro minuto, durante o qual é aplicado o tarifário do cliente.

O sistema da operadora O2 utiliza um cartão SIM com tecnologia STK no qual o cliente no Menu do telemóvel regista a área de residência dele.
Eles possuem o serviço de Difusão Celular no qual no canal 221 enviam as coordenadas geográficas das BTS que estão a servir o clientes, essas coordenadas são iguais aos equipamentos de GPS, o telemóvel com o cartão SIM STK recebe essa informação via Difusão Celular e descodifica a mesma, apresentando ao cliente no display do telemóvel se o cliente está na sua área de residência, mostrando um ícone no display do telemóvel com uma casa e a informação HOME. O cliente quando sai da sua área de residência o telemóvel continua a receber a informação das coordenadas e a descodificá-las, se a informação recebida não corresponder à que está no cartão o equipamento passa para City tendo o cliente a sua tarifa normal das chamadas.
